In the summer of 2012 I interned at 17-BIT and helped develop the initial prototype of Galak-Z. I mostly used c# to write a bunch of complex game systems. The starring feature was making asteroids that collided with the player and split apart when shot. Taking that system further, I created a spawning system that dynamically spawned asteroids around the entire game world, but then intelligently despawned with off screen.

Other features I implemented included a variety of environmental hazards, such as oil fields that caught on fire, dandelion puffs that attached the player and slowed them down, and lava bubbles. I also create health and ammo power-ups and enemy node-based path-finding.
